Samar PESO is the primary employment service arm of the government at the local level, aimed at promoting full employment and equality of employment opportunities for all its constituents.

What we can do?

Job Matching, Referral, and Placement: The most prominent function is to match jobseekers with local and overseas job vacancies submitted by employers and to refer qualified applicants for employment.
Labor Market Information (LMI): PESO gathers, processes, and disseminates data on employment and labor market trends to help jobseekers, employers, students, and policymakers.
Career Guidance and Employment Coaching: Providing counseling, orientation, and training to jobseekers, including students, on career options, job search strategies, and work ethics.
Implementation of DOLE Programs: They are responsible for implementing government employment programs, such as:
- Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES)
- Government Internship Program (GIP)
- Programs for disadvantaged workers (e.g., Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers or TUPAD)
Livelihood and Self-Employment: Facilitating access to various livelihood and self-employment programs offered by government and non-government organizations through referrals and coordination.
Reintegration Services: Assisting returning Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) with reintegration assistance services in coordination with agencies like the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
